Change For The Better

Who do you think you are?  I am you looking back at me in the mirror.  Day in and day out three hundred sixty five days of the year.  But do you know what I have that you do not have at this time.

Piece of Mind
I have answered those questions that have haunted be to the point I could not sleep at night.  I can honestly say that I have made a change.  But I did have to give up something that was holding me down.  My vice had to stay in the box I put it in.  I could not wake up tommorrow or the next day or even the next  week and say I am cured forever.

Because that vice was waiting for me to fall.   Because no matter what name you call your vice, disease, illness, unconscious behavior it never goes away.  So if you think you can go for three months of six months and be done.  You are one mixed up fool.  My vice would not lay down ever though the years started to pass and I began to feel good about myself.

What do you want?
It has been seventeen years now and my family finally has started to talk to me again.  No matter what vice you have overcome and work on keeping in check everyday of your life.  The hurt that it inflicted on your family and friends will not stop.  Time passes and people begin to forget as the good you do replaces the bad.

Do you say a prayer or thank a friend?  Do you tell a loved one I can not believe that you stayed with me.    Keeping a journal may seem like a silly thing to do.  But as you answer certain questions and you reach a new platoe in your lives you may start to forget things.   But you may just know someone else that has a vice similar to your vice.

So,  you can reach back and tell them what not to do.   Maybe this person is not ready to know the truth but you can put him on the path to facing it himself.   They might just remember you one day when they see you on the street.   Some vices are not as bad as others do you believe such a thing.  Even though it may noyt be intoxicating it does not inflict the pain on other people.

But it does hurt them to see the way that you are because they love you.  Love can help but it can not cure especially for someone that does not have a problem.  So which one are you?  Hanging on the edge of the fence or always known?  Would not  get help!

There is no more time!   Either do something or let those un-fortunate ones go.  God did not give you the right to torture the ones you say you love.

Your vice is not curable  and you have known it for years.

Change is for the Better.
